Search for missing woman Melissa Longmore who vanished after leaving Edinburgh home

A frantic search has been launched for an Edinburgh woman after she failed to return home. Melissa Longmore was last seen leaving her home in Liberton, Edinburgh at 10.20pm on Tuesday, October 25.

Pals say the 25-year-old has 'unusually not returned' and are appealing to anyone with any information to come forward.Melissa was wearing black leggings, a grey T-shirt and a black cardigan.

She was carrying a mustard yellow backpack.She is described as white, female, 5ft 8ins in height and of medium build. She has light brown hair and a pale skin tone.

A Facebook post from friend Will Lloyd Roach read: "Melissa’s family and friends are extremely concerned for her welfare. If you see Melissa or make contact with her, please report this to the police immediately." A Police Scotland spokesperson said: " Melissa has been reported missing and enquiries are ongoing to trace her."
