'Scumbag' scammers have been asking for credit card details from people donating to a charity service supporting Greater Manchester’s businesses.
United We Stream was set up by the region’s night time economy advisor Sacha Lord when those in the hospitality trade were forced to shut up shop under government order.
It aims to raise money for struggling businesses, while entertaining people. Tweeting on Saturday afternoon Sacha wrote: “How sad and pathetic is this? “We've just been made aware, that on Facebook, there are scammers pretending to be involved with United We Stream and asking for credit card details. “THE ONLY PLACE THAT IS LEGIT..is on our website http://UnitedWeStream.co.uk @StreamGm #Scumbags” Speaking to the Manchester
