An Edinburgh mum has been left devastated after her "sore back" turned out to be a rare form of blood cancer. Alison McDonald, 56, was diagnosed with Myeloma following an investigation into an unexplained fracture in her spine.The multiple reports of back pain ended up being fractures caused by the cancer.Now Alison's daughter Victoria Hughes is raising cash for the charity Myeloma UK - and she plans to shave her hair off in solidarity of her mum who is set to start her treatment.
