A dad has told how he was left lying on a trolley in A&E for 17 hours suffering chronic pain after a botched operation.John Bundy had gastric surgery six years ago and has since endured ongoing pain and struggled to eat.

Taking 36 tablets a day to try and manage the agony, John says he has been at hospital around 20 times this year alone. He claims he has been left on a trolley on various occasions without access to his regular medication.

The 49-year-old from Haldane was discharged from Paisley’s Royal Alexandra Hospital last Wednesday. Tearfully, he told the Lennox Herald: “I am in so much pain, I can’t move.“I take 36 tablets a day for pain relief.“It has been six years since the operation.
