Starving, terrified puppies were found 'squealing' in containers after RSPCA officers raided a cruel dog breeder's home. Dogs were kept locked in crates or cat carriers and were refused water before being sold on for a profit by Emmanuel Paul.
The callous 37-year-old was rumbled by RSPCA officers, who noticed a 'strong smell of ammonia' as they raided his flat. Paul - who has since moved to Hacking Street, Salford, from Warwickshire - neglected to provide the puppies with food, bedding or toys, Coventry Magistrates Court heard.
RSPCA officers visited Paul’s old flat in Cambridge Street, Rugby, and a second address several times in between September and November 2020.
