‘Saltburn’ star Rosamund Pike ‘smashed up’ her face in skiing accident ahead of the 2024 Golden Globes

The “Saltburn” star graced Sunday’s carpet in a black Dior Haute Couture gown and matching headpiece that she called a “protective veil” in an interview with Variety’s Marc Malkin. “I had an accident over Christmas — I had a skiing accident and I had to think, you know, not what you want when you’re coming to the Golden Globes on the seventh of January,” Pike, 44, said.“So on the 26th of December, my face was entirely smashed up,” she continued. “And I thought I need to protect I need to do something.”“Actually, it’s healed,” Pike admitted as Malkin remarked that he didn’t see any bruising.The Post has contacted reps for Pike for comment.
Pike is up for one award, Best Performance by a Female Actor in a Supporting Role in Any Motion Picture for “Saltburn.”The film also put Sophie Ellis-Bextor’s 23-year-old song “Murder on the Dancefloor” back on top of the British charts thanks to a nude scene featuring Barry Keoghan.
Pike previously attended The Golden Eve Party held at Chateau Marmont on Saturday with Ronald Gladden and James Marsden. The Golden Globes kick off at 8 p.m.
