Russel Brand has released a video addressing unknown criminal allegations made against him by a newspaper and TV company.Taking to his YouTube channel and posting on X, formerly known as Twitter, the comedian stated that there are "serious allegations" being made about him which he "absolutely refutes".

It remains unknown what exactly these allegations entail, with the claims not yet made public. However, he told viewers that he has received letters from the mainstream media and television company which include a "litany of extremely egregious and aggressive attacks”, reports the Mirror. The 48-year-old said: "Now, this isn't the usual type of video we make on this channel where we critique, attack and undermine the news in all its corruption because in this story, I am the news.

I've received two extremely disturbing letters or a letter and an email. One from a mainstream media TV company, one from a newspaper listing a litany of extremely egregious and aggressive attacks, as well as some pretty stupid stuff like community festival should be stopped, that I shouldn't be able to attack mainstream media narratives on this channel."But amidst this litany of astonishing rather baroque attacks, often very serious allegations that I absolutely refute.

These allegations pertain to the time when I was working in the mainstream, when I was in the newspapers all the time, when I was in the movies.
