A nurse has told how Rangers legend Ally McCoist changed her life by helping her win £82,000 on a TV game show. Helen Mason made history on BBC’s The Wheel when she became the first person to win the jackpot prize by answering just one question correctly.
The game show, hosted by Michael McIntyre, sees contestants, selected by chance, compete for an opportunity to win a cash prize with help from celebrity guests.
Helen could have gone home empty-handed but scooped the huge jackpot after McCoist guided her to the right answer. The 24-year-old, from Edinburgh, praised McCoist for changing her life and admits she’ll now follow Rangers.
She also invited the Ibrox icon out for a pint to thank him. McCoist, 60, has agreed, saying: “Definitely. I’m taking you up on that offer.
