Prince William has made a touching speech in tribute to the “courage, compassion and commitment” of late mum Princess Diana, as he celebrated the winners of an award in her name.William and his estranged younger brother Prince Harry both took part in the ceremony to honour those noticed as part of the Diana Legacy Award on Thursday.

However they both scheduled their appearances hours apart. The Prince of Wales addressed the 20 winners in a speech held in London's Science Museum, whilst the Duke of Sussex was set to make a speech through video link after his older brother left the glitzy ceremony, the Mirror reports.Royal sources have said it was “a great shame” that the estranged brothers couldn't come together in nod to the 25th anniversary of the Diana Awards, which was established two years on from Diana's tragic death in Paris, 1997.In his speech, William said the winners, chosen by a special panel of judges chaired by Baroness Doreen Lawrence, reflected “my mother’s belief that young people can change the world”.William and Harry's appearances come as the brothers continue to drive a wedge between themselves following tensions.
