Prince George and Princess Charlotte were spotted arriving at Westminster Abbey to attend the funeral of Queen Elizabeth II today.

Their parents, Prince William and Kate Middleton reportedly stepped in and pushed forward their wishes for their children to have a chance to say farewell to their great grandmother.

George, 8 and Charlotte, 7 will say goodbye to their adored ''Gan-Gan'', Birmingham Mail reports. The Prince and Princess of Wales were eager for their kids to be in attendance of the historic event this morning.The youngsters were seen walking behind their parents and in front of their aunt and uncle, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry.

The Queen's lying in state period came to an end at 6.30am this morning in Westminster Hall.Her coffin was taken in a grand military procession from the Palace of Westminster to Westminster Abbey for the funeral at 11am.
