Police have urged people to stay away from a river in Leicester as the search continues for a missing two-year-old boy. Specialist dive teams remain at the River Soar after the boy, who had been with his family, fell into the water in the Aylestone Meadows area, close to Marsden Lane, at around 5pm on Sunday.

A man who was taken to hospital as a precautionary measure has now been discharged, police said. Leicestershire Police assistant chief constable Michaela Kerr asked people to stay away from the scene due to rising water levels of the river. Try MEN Premium now for FREE...
