A plane has been spotted flying over the North Sea this afternoon in the shape of the number 23 ahead of the New Year. The Loganair flight was tracked online after it left Aberdeen International Airport at 12.58pm this afternoon, December 31, an hour after scheduled.
Instead of the planned flight to Inverness, the plane headed off to the right and over the sea before the pilot traced the number 23 in the skyline, reports Aberdeen Live.
It then returned to the coast, flying low over Aberdeenshire and Angus.The website flightradar24.com tracks live progress of flights across the globe, and they marked the LOG915M flight as it drifted over the North Sea.
The website showed that the plane was expected to arrive at 5pm, four hours after it was expected to land.Locals in the north east posted online and said the plane was spotted flying low over Brechin and Montrose.
