A 70-year-old woman has admitted to causing the death of an eight-month-old baby after crashing her car into the child's pram.

Bridget Curtis, 70 , struck baby Mabli Cariad Hall with her BMW outside Withybush Hospital in Pembrokeshire, West Wales, in June 2023.

The accident occurred while Mabli's father was placing her in her pushchair. Mabli was airlifted to the University Hospital of Wales in Cardiff for treatment, later being transferred to Bristol Royal Hospital for Children, but tragically passed away four days later on Sunday, June 25.

Curtis, from Begelly, Pembrokeshire, was charged with causing Mabli's death by dangerous driving, reports the Mirror. Judge Geraint Walters granted Curtis unconditional bail ahead of her sentencing at Swansea Crown Court on November 22.
