Peaky Blinders star Sam Claflin has been spotted filming scenes in the city centre for an upcoming drama for Amazon Prime. The British actor, 37, will star alongside Bill Nighy and Alexandra Roach in Lazarus, which is based on a script co-written by Harlan Coben and screenwriter Danny Brocklehurst,, who are the masterminds behind recent streaming hits Fool Me Once, The Stranger and Stay Close.

Sam will be known to audiences for playing Finnick Odair in The Hunger Games film series between 2013 and 2015, as well as taking on the role of Sir Oswald Mosley in BBC’s Peaky Blinders. In scenes filmed on Friday morning (June 21), Sam was seen on location in the city centre. Filming a chase scene, the actor was pictured jumping onto a canal path alongside Ducie Street before running off.

The scenes also featured a stunt double on set. Last month, the actor was also seen filming outside Gordon Ramsay's Manchester restaurant Lucky Cat on King Street.
