Over 80 new Lanarkshire homes created as part of regeneration project

CCG Homes have created 81 new houses for people in Cambuslang as part of the Whitlawburn Regeneration project.The £50m project has been led by CCG on behalf of South Lanarkshire Council (SLC) and South West Scotland hub.Building for the new houses began in March 2020 when several 1970s housing blocks were demolished to be replaced with new modern energy-efficient homes.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.

A spokeswoman for CCG Homes told Lanarkshire Live : “The council is to be commended for taking forward the Whitlawburn Regeneration as the development will certainly contribute to the regeneration of Whitlawburn itself whilst also supporting the local economy of Cambuslang. “The masterplan has been designed as ‘tenure blind’ which means that all of the homes are designed to look the same regardless of being private or social – this helps support community integration – and for homeowners when they come to see the show home, inside and out, they will be presented with a really contemporary look and feel. “This in itself, as well as our price point (from £176,000) and the level of specification we provide as standard will encourage people to come to the area and hopefully purchase their
