Nicola Sturgeon announces 23 new positive cases overnight but no deaths for 19th day

coronavirus deaths registered in Scotland for a 19th day but 23 new positive cases have been confirmed. The total number of positive cases is now 18,717 according to the latest Scottish Government released figures.

At least 15 of the 23 new cases are in the Grampian area.Nicola Sturgeon announced that 270 of patients are currently being treated for confirmed or suspected cases of the virus in hospital - with 4 in intensive care.

A total of 2,491 people have died from coronavirus in Scotland.The First Minister has said a cluster of covid cases, currently at 27, linked to an Aberdeen venue are expected to rise.
