A new food, drink and shopping development has just opened on the site of a historic train terminus that was last used in the 1800s.

Department Store is set within the old bonded warehouse that was formerly part of the Granada Studios complex. The mixed-use space will boast a restaurant and bar, which will have all-day dining, as well as outlets for accessories retailer folk Beaches & Cream and the trendy cyclist clothing shop Rapha.

There is also space for events, exhibitors and pop-ups, and studios for hire. It will be open from Monday to Friday, serving breakfast and brunches from 8am, and small plates from 11.30am, while there will also be arts, music and culinary workshops.

It follows the recent opening of The Stables, the canteen-style bar and restaurant which is also catering for workers in the area with a restaurant boasting affordable lunches.
