A plan to demolish a house in Polmont and build three new ones in its place has been refused planning permission by Falkirk councillors.

Members of Falkirk Council 's planning committee narrowly voted to reject Stephen Gillespie's plans to build the new houses at 3 Scott Avenue, Polmont.

More than 50 residents from Scott Avenue, Marchmont Avenue, and other nearby streets, objected to the plans, saying the three large houses would impact on road safety and overwhelm drainage that is already at capacity.
