Kylie Dixon started experiencing night sweats and itchy legs, but dismissed them as normal symptoms of pregnancy, the Liverpool ECHO reports.

When her symptoms persisted some six months after giving birth to her son, Kylie was told the devastating news she had an aggressive form of Hodgkin lymphoma - a rare type of blood cancer.

At the time of her diagnosis in January 2011, the 32-year-old was told she could have up to eight weeks left to live without treatment.
