Mum and dad leave kids at home to fly to Ibiza for 24-hour holiday

A mum flew to Ibiza with her husband for a 24-hour whirlwind holiday which cost her less than her average weekly food shop. Sarah Loughman and her husband Craig decided to leave the kids at home and return to the island where they had their honeymoon together 17 years previously.

It was their first time abroad without the kids so they enjoyed a bar crawl together with “shots and cocktails”. The entire trip cost them £170 each.

Longing for a sunny getaway, Sarah, a nurse from Northampton, did some research and bagged £60 flights with easyJet. The couple arrived in Ibiza at 11.30pm, went out partying, then watched the sunrise, before using the pool all day until their flight home shortly after midnight.
