Steven Lawless says Motherwell manager Graham Alexander's decision to play him out of position was a big reason why his return to Fir Park ended in disappointing fashion.The 30-year-old joined the Steelmen in January after his move to Burton Albion the previous summer went wrong.
Lawless is a product of the club's youth academy and has enjoyed good spells at Partick Thistle and Livingston.A winger, Alexander opted to play Lawless in a variety of positions, including central midfield and striker.
