Charles Dunne hopes to return to fitness after "the hardest year" of his life.The defender has extended his stay with Motherwell after signing a short-term deal and the club will help with his comeback from a groin injury.Dunne has not played since August last year and underwent surgery in September.He was on the comeback trail when the Covid-19 shutdown came into force, but the Steelmen have offered him a contract which will run until the end of December 2020, with a view to assessing the possibility for a longer deal.And it's a huge relief for the 27-year-old after a nightmare spell on the sidelines.He told the club's official website: “Firstly, I’m really happy to have extended my deal.
