Morton boss Dougie Imrie says he was "baffled" as Hamilton Accies were awarded a penalty winner at New Douglas Park yesterday. But he says captain Grant Gillespie should have been experienced enough to have avoided a second booking that saw him sent off in 83 minutes.Rookie ref Duncan Williams pointed to the spot in 19 minutes for a foul on Dan O'Reilly, with Andy Winter blasting in his fourth goal of the season to give Hamilton a 1-0 win, only their third league victory of the campaign. But Imrie, who was in the stand serving a suspension, says he spoke to the referee to ask why Morton were initially awarded a free kick, before he changed his mind and pointed to the spot.Hamilton Accies legend Imrie, from Lanark, said: "I'm disappointed to lose the game, but like last week I don't want to say too much - that's why I was sitting in the stand today."But the penalty is baffling, once again.

I just spoke to him [the referee] there and I don't know where he's coming from."He gives a foul to us, and then says he didn't know which way the team were shooting, and that's why he gave the penalty - so that's what we're dealing with every week."If you don't know which way the team is shooting, it's scary."But credit to Hamilton, they then stick the penalty away, but if you look over the piece I think we had the best chances in the game."We had two or three unbelievable chances.

I played with Ryan Fulton, he's a good keeper, and he pulled off some wonderful saves, especially in the first half from Jack Baird, the header under the bar."He then saves his team there with Calvin Miller's shot at the bottom."Imrie added: "We had a strong penalty claim for a hand-ball by Dylan McGowan.
