We’re just hearing that the Misbehaviour digital release has been brought forward by three months. The true story will now arrive on on-demand services from 15th April through Pathe following the cinema run being cut short by the Covid-19 crisis (with cinemas closing only 4 days after the film’s release). According to this morning’s official press release, the film will be available on all platforms (including Amazon Prime, Sky Store, and iTunes) for an exclusive period.

Does anyone still watch televised beauty pageants? Some must do: The likes of Miss America and Miss World presumably aren’t being broadcast to a global audience of ghosts, whatever their declining presence in the popular imagination. Yet for years now, the pageant industry has felt like a dead woman walking and waving, steadily losing TV ratings and youth appeal, however many concessions it makes to more progressive standards of femininity: Banning the swimsuit round might help, but something larger is being denuded anyway.
