Rebecca Rubin Senior Film and Media Reporter “Stranger Things” star Millie Bobby Brown plans to turn her debut novel, “Nineteen Things,” into a feature film at Netflix.
Brown has close ties to the streaming behemoth because it’s home to the hugely popular television series that propelled her to fame.
She’s also worked with Netflix on Sherlock spinoff films “Enola Holmes” and fantasy adventure “Damsel.” Brown will produce “Nineteen Things” through her company PCMA Productions and is in talks to star in the movie adaptation, according to Deadline, which broke the news of the project.
Netflix declined to comment. Published in September 2023, “Nineteen Steps” is set during World War II and takes inspiration from Brown’s grandmother’s life.
