Michael Carrick has given the thumbs-up to Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag, saying he hopes the Dutchman can deliver success.
Carrick, the former Manchester United midfielder who later became a prominent member of the coaching staff, has wished Ten Hag well and has also revealed he still goes and supports his old side.
Carrick departed Old Trafford last December, after calling time on his brief spell in caretaker charge in the immediate aftermath of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's exit.
That decision meant an abrupt exit from the club after 15 years at United but despite that, Carrick says he remains a fan at heart and he has backed Solskjaer's permanent successor to do well.
