Parts of the UK will see temperatures as high as 20C this afternoon. Brits living further down south will be treated to the best weather conditions while those further up north will see milder temperatures.
However, while conditions will be a lot hotter in the coming days, it does not constitute a true heatwave, according to the Met Office.
This is because conditions must be between 25C and 28C, depending on the region, for three consecutive days. Because of this, the Met Office said that the current "mild spell will not reach 'heatwave' criteria'. The main areas affected by these high conditions include Norwich, Cambridge, and Ipswich. Meanwhile, other areas will see relatively high conditions, with London recording 18C and Rochester seeing 19C.
