The Met Office has given an indication of when more snow might hit the UK. According to the weather agency's latest long-range forecast, Brits will likely see wet and windy conditions over the first half of the month, but another cold spell could be coming our way later on in February.
The predicted drop in temperature means there is a "greater likelihood" of more wintry conditions, the Met Office said. just click here to give it a go. Senior spokesman for the Met Office Stephen Dixon said the "unusually mild" temperatures felt in recent days are set to be replaced next month thanks to the imminent arrival of Arctic air masses.
Suggestions by some weather charts that snow could hit as early as February 5 are likely premature, he said, predicting that temperatures are more likely to plummet in the middle and later stages of next month.
