Met Office predicts when snow will return to North as new cold snap forecast

The Met Office has given an indication of when more snow might hit the UK. According to the weather agency's latest long-range forecast, Brits will likely see wet and windy conditions over the first half of the month, but another cold spell could be coming our way later on in February.

The predicted drop in temperature means there is a "greater likelihood" of more wintry conditions, the Met Office said. A spokesperson told the Mirror that the north of England could even see some "widespread snow" as a result. Suggestions by some weather charts that snow could hit as early as February 5 are likely premature, he said, predicting that temperatures are more likely to plummet in the middle and later stages of next month.
