Groundbreaking. Meryl Streep, Anne Hathaway, and Emily Blunt will have a mini “Devil Wears Prada” reunion on Feb. 24 at the SAG Awards.
The famous trio will come together 17 years after the release of the 2006 iconic comedy/drama movie to present an award at the ceremony.
While the SAG Awards have been a host-less show since 2021, “Ted Lasso” star Phil Dunster and “Red, White and Royal Blue” actor Taylor Zakhar Perez have been tapped as this year’s “ambassadors” for the ceremony. “The Devil Wears Prada” was loosely based on Lauren Weisberger’s book of the same name, written about her experience as an assistant to longtime Vogue editor Anna Wintour.
Streep portrayed the Wintour-esque editor of Runway magazine, Miranda Priestly, while Hathaway and Blunt’s characters, Andrea Sachs and Emily Charlton, respectively, played her over-worked assistants.
