Friends actor Matthew Perry has passed away at the age of 54, leaving friends and fans across the world devasted at the loss.

Matthew was found dead after 'drowning in his jacuzzi' at his home in Los Angeles on Saturday, 28 October, with emergency services being called to his home.The Friends' official Twitter account confirmed his death, as they posted: "We are devastated to learn of Matthew Perry's passing.

He was a true gift to us all. "Our heart goes out to his family, loved ones, and all of his fans." A source added that there was no sign of foul play and that robbery-homicide detectives are investigating his death.

Cause of death Emergency services rushed to his home after receiving a call at 4.07pm that the star had suffered a cardiac arrest.

Friends.In a joint interview on CBS’s Today show, Marta Kauffman and David Crane discussed their shock at the news of Perry’s passing at the age of 54 on Saturday (28 October).“He was happy and chipper,” Kauffman said of Perry, who played Chandler Bing for 10 seasons of the hit sitcom. “He didn’t seem weighed down by anything. He was in a really good place, which is why this seems so unfair.”Kauffman said she was in “utter shock” after hearing the news last weekend.
