A man photographing a herd of elk at Rocky Mountain National Park in Colorado got more than he bargained for last month when one of the elk charged straight at him. "We were trying to get away from him, because we knew he was going to make one of them mad enough to hurt someone," Megan Foster, a tourist who shot video of the incident, said of another tourist that was seen agitating the herd of elk, according to Fox 7. The New York Police Department is looking for a man who robbed an elderly New York City woman who is captured on video trying to give him money.  In a Sunday morning video shared by Crime Stoppers, an 82-year-old woman is seen extending her hand with cash at around 6 a.m. EDT when the suspect reaches forward with his left hand, appearing to accept the generous cash offer.

A South Carolina man broke into his ex-girlfriend's home and stole her mother's cremated remains with the intention to sell them for money to purchase heroin, according to deputies. Jackson Rutland, 19, contacted his ex around 5:40 a.m. on Wednesday to inform her he had taken some of her mother's ashes.The ex was not home at the time, as she had spent the night at a friend's house.

A Minnesota convicted felon is accused of trying to murder his ex-girlfriend while out on bond. Tylynne Lashawn Wilson, 40, allegedly broke into the home of his ex-girlfriend in Minneapolis and fired 12 shots at her on Monday in the presence of their son, according to FOX 9. Minneapolis police officers responded to the incident and found the child next to her mother on the bedroom floor, where she was injured with several gunshot wounds, according to charging documents.

Police in Stockton, California announced that a suspect has been arrested in relation to six murders and one shooting since April 2021. Stockton City Manager Harry Black announced that Wesley Brownlee, 43, was arrested while he was armed and on a "mission to kill" another victim.

A homeless woman who allegedly robbed a dead man in New York City and has dozens of prior arrests was freed without bail Friday, according to reports.  Geniece Draper, 40, was let go after her arraignment in a Manhattan courtroom, the New York Post reported. She is accused of pickpocketing a wallet from a man last week as he remained under a truck that had crushed him moments earlier.  She is charged with grand and petty larceny for allegedly stealing from 62-year-old Jerome Smith. She was arrested a short time later at a Times Square subway station.

Democratic representatives seeking re-election this fall in Virginia remain silent after cozying up with a delegate in the state legislature whose new bill would make it a punishable crime for parents not to affirm their LGBT children. On Thursday, Delegate Elizabeth Guzman told WJLA that at the start of the new legislative session, she will introduce a bill that would penalize, with a misdemeanor or felony charge, parents who do not affirm their LGBT children.The bill would expand the state's definition of child abuse and neglect to include parents who do not affirm their LGBT children's gender identity or sexual orientation. "Well, we first have to complete an investigation," Guzman told WJLA about the new bill.

An Indiana mother was reportedly sentenced to 115 years in prison earlier this month for poisoning her ex-boyfriend's oatmeal and strangling him during a custody battle.  Following a seven-day trial, Heidi Marie Littlefield was found guilty of murder and two counts of conspiracy to commit murder in August by a jury in Hamilton County. Eight days after Georgia toddler Quinton Simon was reported missing from his Savannah home, police announced Thursday that they have not yet located the 20-month-old's remains, despite naming a prime suspect – his mother – and accumulating evidence to indicate that he is no longer alive.  "Sadly, we still have not found Quinton," said Chatham County Police Chief Jeff Hadley. "The evidence that we have so far, based on multiple search warrants and interviews, has led us to the conclusion that Quinton is deceased." He added: "The accumulation of evidence over these last eight days has led us to this conclusion today." A Georgia man is behind bars on multiple charges after he allegedly tried to kill twin infants. According to Fox 5 Atlanta, 22-year-old Robert Terrell Dubose Jr., of Rome, is accused of breaking the neck of a 3-month-old girl and trying to smother her twin sister while they were both crying during an Oct. 3 incident.

Parents are chiming in and speaking out as one school district in Pennsylvania has announced it's canceling its annual Halloween parades for elementary students due to safety and "inclusivity" concerns. Dominique Izbicki, a resident of Montgomery County, told Fox News Digital she doesn't agree with the decision. An arrest has been made following the release of security footage showing a man forcefully walking a teenage girl before she was sexually assaulted in a Los Angeles bathroom, police said Wednesday.  The Los Angeles Police Department told Fox News an arrest has been made but could not confirm if the suspect seen on camera was the person in police custody. A massive brawl broke out at a high school in Baltimore County recently as parents and community activists raise the alarm on children's safety.  Cell phone video captured by a bystander shows two groups of students swinging wildly at each other in the hallways of Lansdowne High School.  Lansdowne High School educates about 1,345 students in Baltimore County, Maryland.  (Google Maps) The school's principal tried to break up the altercation and was attacked, according to Fox 45. "How can our kids learn when they're in this fight or flight mode? We wonder why the grades and proficiency levels are down so low because how can these kids learn when they're surrounded by violence," Darren Badillo, a Baltimore County Parent and Student Coalition member, told the local news outlet.  Testing has shown that many students in Baltimore are falling behind.

An Indiana man accused of smuggling three migrants crashed his car during a high-speed chase in Uvalde County recently, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety.  Richard Diaz, 21, allegedly told police that he was being paid $3,000 per person to smuggle the migrants from the border community of Eagle Pass to San Antonio.  He was charged with two counts of human smuggling causing serious bodily injury, Texas DPS spokesman Christopher Olivarez told Fox News Digital.  The driver sped off during an apparent traffic stop in Uvalde County, Texas.  (Texas Department of Public Safety) Dashcam footage shows the driver accelerate away from an apparent traffic stop at night.
