House Republican Conference chairwoman Elise Stefanik of New York predicted a "big Republican year" in the 2022 midterm elections, saying inflation is the "top reason" behind the projected gains. The trial for a Florida woman accused in the state’s infamous "Killer Clown" case from 1990 has been delayed yet again as defense attorneys successfully sought time to examine newly discovered information about other clown sightings from that time, court papers show. Jury selection in the trial for the decades-old case involving accused killer Sheila Keen Warren was scheduled to start this week after previously being postponed a half-dozen times.

A man photographing a herd of elk at Rocky Mountain National Park in Colorado got more than he bargained for last month when one of the elk charged straight at him. "We were trying to get away from him, because we knew he was going to make one of them mad enough to hurt someone," Megan Foster, a tourist who shot video of the incident, said of another tourist that was seen agitating the herd of elk, according to Fox 7. "What you don’t see in the video is six other bulls that (the bull elk) was also trying to keep away from his herd.

Accused serial killer Billy Chemirmir, who has been convicted of the murders of two elderly women and charged in nearly two dozen others, listened in court this week as the families members of his victims gave impact statements.  Chemirmir was convicted last week in the death of 87-year-old Mary Brooks, who he followed home from a Dallas-area Walmart in January 2018 and murdered.  He had already been convicted in the murder of 81-year-old Lu Thi Harris. The New York Police Department is looking for a man who robbed an elderly New York City woman who is captured on video trying to give him money.  In a Sunday morning video shared by Crime Stoppers, an 82-year-old woman is seen extending her hand with cash at around 6 a.m. EDT when the suspect reaches forward with his left hand, appearing to accept the generous cash offer.

In a twisted turn of events, a family man turned serial killer nicknamed "The Times Square Killer," as well as New Jersey's "Torso Killer," was put behind bars for several gruesome murders, which included the dismemberment and decapitation of many of his victims.  But even after Richard Cottingham became a convicted murderer, the story didn't end there, according to the host of Fox Nation's "The Fuhrman Diaries" and former LAPD detective Mark Fuhrman.  Cottingham made a stunning confession during an interview with a journalist decades after he was jailed, but not every expert has bought into his bombshell claim.  "He waits 30 years, and then he talks to a female reporter after a long, long relationship over the phone and in letters," Fuhrman said on "The Faulkner Focus" on Friday. A South Carolina man broke into his ex-girlfriend's home and stole her mother's cremated remains with the intention to sell them for money to purchase heroin, according to deputies. Jackson Rutland, 19, contacted his ex around 5:40 a.m. on Wednesday to inform her he had taken some of her mother's ashes.The ex was not home at the time, as she had spent the night at a friend's house.

Shannon Brandt intends to "fully defend" himself against the murder charge he is facing in relation to the death of Cayler Ellingson. Brandt, 41, was arrested after police say he used his SUV to fatally hit Cayler Ellingson, 18, during the early morning hours of Sept. 18 after a street dance at a local bar in McHenry, North Dakota.

Police in Stockton, California announced that a suspect has been arrested in relation to six murders and one shooting since April 2021. Stockton City Manager Harry Black announced that Wesley Brownlee, 43, was arrested while he was armed and on a "mission to kill" another victim.

A homeless woman who allegedly robbed a dead man in New York City and has dozens of prior arrests was freed without bail Friday, according to reports.  Geniece Draper, 40, was let go after her arraignment in a Manhattan courtroom, the New York Post reported. She is accused of pickpocketing a wallet from a man last week as he remained under a truck that had crushed him moments earlier.  She is charged with grand and petty larceny for allegedly stealing from 62-year-old Jerome Smith. She was arrested a short time later at a Times Square subway station.

An Indiana mother was reportedly sentenced to 115 years in prison earlier this month for poisoning her ex-boyfriend's oatmeal and strangling him during a custody battle.  Following a seven-day trial, Heidi Marie Littlefield was found guilty of murder and two counts of conspiracy to commit murder in August by a jury in Hamilton County. The Hamilton County prosecutor said Francis Kelley had been killed by asphyxiation last year due to manual strangulation or neck compression, with acute fentanyl intoxication listed as a contributing factor in his death.

A Kansas woman accused of murdering her ex-husband and his girlfriend two decades ago has been released on bond after a judge reduced the amount to $350,000 from $1 million last month. Four Oklahoma friends were reported missing on Monday after they did not return from a bike ride. Eight days after Georgia toddler Quinton Simon was reported missing from his Savannah home, police announced Thursday that they have not yet located the 20-month-old's remains, despite naming a prime suspect – his mother – and accumulating evidence to indicate that he is no longer alive.  "Sadly, we still have not found Quinton," said Chatham County Police Chief Jeff Hadley. "The evidence that we have so far, based on multiple search warrants and interviews, has led us to the conclusion that Quinton is deceased." He added: "The accumulation of evidence over these last eight days has led us to this conclusion today." A Georgia man is behind bars on multiple charges after he allegedly tried to kill twin infants. According to Fox 5 Atlanta, 22-year-old Robert Terrell Dubose Jr., of Rome, is accused of breaking the neck of a 3-month-old girl and trying to smother her twin sister while they were both crying during an Oct. 3 incident.

Actor Anthony Rapp got emotional in a New York courtroom on Wednesday. Rapp testified Wednesday that he decided to publicly reveal a 30-year-old encounter with Kevin Spacey because he knew he wasn’t the only person Spacey had made inappropriate sexual advances on. An arrest has been made following the release of security footage showing a man forcefully walking a teenage girl before she was sexually assaulted in a Los Angeles bathroom, police said Wednesday.  The Los Angeles Police Department told Fox News an arrest has been made but could not confirm if the suspect seen on camera was the person in police custody. The incident occurred Tuesday at a park in the El Sereno neighborhood.  A suspect is seen with a teen girl in Los Angeles moments before she was sexually assaulted.
