A couple are now planning their wedding after they were matched together by experts on Married At First Sight - but never actually made it onto the show.
The show sees couples meet for the very first time on their wedding day before they are given several weeks to test the strength of their relationship before deciding whether to stay together or not.
Ally Acklan, 38, and Paul Todd, 35, were matched together and were due to feature in the 2020 series - but their wedding was called off three days before it was due to take place after the UK was forced into a strict coronavirus pandemic lockdown.
Paul, a train driver, took matters into his own hands and begged the producers to give him Ally's details. He reached out to his would-be bride and, after meeting virtually on Skype, the pair quickly hit it off. When the social distancing restrictions eased in June 2020, the pair were finally able to meet in person and their relationship went from strength to strength.
