The proposals were approved in October 2019 while the council worked on its long-term vision for redeveloping the Great Ancoats Street site after buying it for £37m.But the plans were blocked after campaigners Trees Not Cars made an application for a judicial review which was heard by a high court judge on Friday.The lawyer representing the group, John Hunter, claimed the council failed to properly.
