Manchester United's academy continues to thrive, with a raft of players supporting the first-team squad in recent weeks due to injury, while another glut have had loan spells since January.

Lacey set to sign new deal Last year, Shea Lacey signed a scholarship deal at the club, with an agreement in principle to sign professional terms when he turns 17 and his birthday is now just around the corner.

Lacey's first professional contract will be announced after he celebrates his birthday on April 14, and the deal is the reward for his excellent and continued progression in the youth set-up.
