Manchester City say their position on the European Super League has not changed since they became the first club to withdraw from the failed project in 2021.
City were among 12 clubs who rocked the football world by signing up for the Super League project, but after an intense reaction from fans, they signalled their intention to withdraw 48 hours later.
The club were fined by the Premier League and UEFA, and have since strengthened ties with their European rivals and the governing body.
On Thursday, the European Court of Justice ruled that UEFA and FIFA had acted unlawfully in blocking clubs from signing up for the Super League, with its organisers using the ruling to unveil new plans for an expanded competition of 64 men's teams running alongside domestic competitions.
