A man has been charged after a black cab ploughed into shoppers outside Glasgow Central Station.Emergency services, including police, fire crews and paramedics, raced to the incident on Union Street at around 1.50pm on Saturday, October 5.

Three female pedestrians, 60, 61 and 61, were taken to hospital for treatment. Their current conditions are unknown. Another woman, aged 50, was assessed by paramedics at the scene.

The 62-year-old driver of the taxi was also taken to hospital for treatment. Police confirmed he was charged on Wednesday in connection with alleged road traffic offences.

He is due to appear in court at a later date.A statement from Police Scotland reads: "A man has been charged in connection with a crash involving a taxi and four pedestrians in Glasgow.
