LOVE Island star Demi Jones has celebrated being "cancer free" after revealing she has finally beat the "awful disease". The ITV2 reality star, who has been battling thyroid cancer for over a year, took to Instagram to reveal there was "not a single cancer cell left" in her body.

Demi, 22, who rose to fame on the winter edition of the dating show in 2020, was diagnosed with thyroid cancer just months after her TV appearance.

She revealed to fans in May 2021 that she would need to have surgery to remove her thyroid - as well as the cancer - and would require follow-up treatment.

The star had since been sharing her journey online, opening up about the difficult realities of her treatment, which left her feeling "tired all the time".
