A series of raids has revealed that Scots towns and cities are still being targeted by drug gangs from Liverpool. Officers from Merseyside Police teamed up with Police Scotland last week to carry out searches of properties in Peterhead and Aberdeen.

An address in Knowsley was also raided during the County Lines investigation, where shady operators recruit vulnerable young people or local addicts to sell their drugs.

A simultaneous raid in Hollow Croft saw an additional man arrested in connection with the drug recovery north of the border, the Liverpool Echo reports.
