Leigh Centurions owner Derek Beaumont has explained why the club was forced to push back their pre-season fixture with Warrington.

The Wolves announced that the game, which will act as Chris Hill's Testimonial, had been delayed 24 hours due to Leigh suffering from player availability issues.

John Duffy's Leythers picked up an eye-catching 25-24 pre-season win over Super League champions St Helens last week but endured a number of injuries in the process, with those players not set to be risked this week.

Additionally, two of the club's players are currently being forced to self-isolate and will not be available on Thursday as it is the final day of their isolation period, leaving them free to play on Friday.
