LAST of the Summer Wine star Jean Fergusson, who played feisty Marina, left £1,013,605 in her will. Jean, who died aged 74 last November, appeared in 216 episodes of  the hit BBC comedy over 25 years.

Her peroxide blonde character was in a stage version of the much-loved sitcom before being in the TV series from 1985 until 2010.

Jean, of Balham, South London, also had several roles in Coronation Street — notably as Dorothy Hoyle in 2010 and 2011. She was nominated for an Olivier award in 1998 for a theatre role playing British comic, actress and music hall performer Hylda Baker.

Fergusson appeared in All Creatures Great & Small, Crossroads and The Practice, before joining Last of the Summer Wine which was watched by up to 18 million.
