A long-serving supermarket worker has been commended for going the extra mile for an elderly customer who was struggling to get home with his groceries.Kind-hearted Helen Carlin, who has worked at the Asda store in Newmains for almost 10 years, had just finished her shift when she learned that a man, who was partially sighted, needed some help.Helen was quick to offer her assistance by driving the man across Newmains and helping take his groceries inside.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.
