Lanarkshire mum conquers walking challenge in aid of deaf children's charity

A Strathaven mum has conquered a fundraising challenge to walk 310,000 steps in October for the National Deaf Children's Society.

Lisa Sultana completed the challenge on Monday, October 31, walking an average of 10,000 steps each day.She achieved the total distance through a combination of early morning and post-work jogs around her local area, and chasing after her very active two-year-old son Louis.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.

Lisa told Lanarkshire Live : “I wanted to raise awareness of this fantastic charity. "They have been a huge support to my family since Lucy was identified as deaf in February.“Lucy asked me every day if I’d done my steps.
