Lanarkshire home owner feels 'let down' after being forced to sell flat back to council

A Wishaw woman claims she feels she’s been ”made a fool of” by the local authority after being forced to sell her home in Gowkthrapple.Pauline Boyd was one of just three home owners on the estate, which will now be demolished to allow for a huge housing regeneration programme by North Lanarkshire Council (NLC).The council bought back her ex-council flat in Stanhope Place from her last year for £26,000, but Pauline claims she was rushed through the selling and moving out process during lockdown.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.
