It was very nearly axed, however, as extreme weather conditions led to the site being evacuated shortly before the gig and the performance being pushed back.Originally, Del Rey was supposed to head on stage at 8:30pm, but she soon took to social media to explain that the timings had been pushed back. “They are holding off the show until 9:00 because of the wind warnings.
See you soon,” she wrote.By 9pm, she still hadn’t taken to the stage, and went on to post another update on the situation: “So I’m down here at the bottom of Fenway, I have everyone here, they just cleared the stage.
Every time the lightning strikes we have to wait 20 minutes and it just keeps striking,” she explained.“So what we were hoping for was to fill the room back up by 10 o’clock, at least do an hour-long show, um, that’s what we were hoping for bare minimum.
