King Charles' sneaky way of keeping tabs on Harry and Meghan's life in California
dailyrecord.co.ukKing Charles' relationship with his younger son Prince Harry is currently believed to be at an all time low and, as a consequence of their fall out, the monarch has missed out on a close relationship with his two grandkids Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.Harry and Meghan are currently in Europe but have no plans to visit Charles and Camilla while they are at Balmoral and their two children haven't seen their grandfather for over a year in person.However, it's now been revealed that the King has his own way of keeping tabs on the Sussexes' despite them being over 5,000 miles away in Southern California.His Majesty allegedly reads their local newspaper known as the Montecito Journal to keep up with any news on Prince Harry and his family, the Scottish Daily Express reports.By sheer coincidence, Journal columnist Richard Mineards is a former Fleet Street royal correspondent who still has excellent sources and it was his colleague Eileen White Read who revealed that the King reads the local paper.In a letter to the editor, she described readers as "a group that includes, according to columnist Richard Mineards, England's [sic] King Charles II [sic]".
The former Wall Street Journal reporter seemed to overlook the fact that Charles III is also King of Scots. Eileen described how she had bumped into Meghan Markle while grocery shopping in Montecito where they "chatted briefly".
