King Charles and Queen Consort Camilla have personally chosen a “Coronation Quiche” recipe that includes an ingredient loved by A-list celebs - edamame beans.

The Royal Family’s official Twitter account has shared the recipe for the open baked savoury tart that can be made for the Big Lunches set to be held to mark the King and Queen Consort's crowning.

It features cheddar cheese, spinach, tarragon and either broad or soya beans - also known as edamame. Edamame beans, also known as soya beans, have become hugely popular with Hollywood stars and A-list celebs such as Victoria Beckham - with the healthy, protein-packed ingredient helping them to stay full while keeping in shape.

For the late Queen Elizabeth II’s coronation in 1953, Coronation Chicken – cold chicken in a curry cream sauce with a well-seasoned dressed salad of rice, green peas and mixed herbs – was invented to feed the foreign guests who were entertained at Buckingham Palace after the ceremony.
