Kilmarnock pupils set for small screen role as BBC visit school ahead of Maths Week

The BBC swapped Grange Hill for Grange Academy in Kilmarnock to film a group of maths whizzes.S2 pupils at the Ayrshire secondary school played a starring role in videos shot by the Beeb's Bitesize team for Maths Week Scotland (Monday, September 26 to Sunday, October 2).Teacher Chris Smith and pupils Anya, Austin, Domi, Elizabeth, Eloise, Jack, Kyle, Leni, Niamh, Poppy, Yvie and Zoe helped shoot a series of daily challenges which will be launched on social media and the BBC Bitesize website in the run up to the annual event.It's the fifth year in a row the school has been involved.Mr Smith said: "The whole experience is brilliant for the young folk, they get a real glimpse into what it's like being part of a film crew.“Our students were not only solving problems in real time and filming top tips to help young maths students all over Scotland.
