John Lundstram may have demonstrated the ultimate value of his style to new boss Philippe Clement by being included in an exclusive club across world football. The former Sheffield United man has been integral to Rangers in recent seasons, but found this year a tough one with injuries and playing time scattered across the board.

Yet with new boss Clement looking to implement a rigid and 'dominant' style of play at Ibrox, Lundstram will be hoping he can offer a strong midfield pairing with popular star Nico Raskin as the new-look Light Blues take shape under the Belgian coach.Clement told the squad directly at his Rangers unveiling that they all have a clean slate, and Lundstram may have edged further in to contention after some sections of the Ibrox support took aim at the 29-year-old and other senior players such as James Tavernier and Connor Goldson for the dip in results of late.

But now the Englishman, according to CIES Football Observatory, is in the top 100 midfield "distributors" in the world. The star-studded list is topped by Scotland's least favourite player Rodri, of Manchester City, while the big names of Toni Kroos at Real Madrid and Frenkie de Jong of Barcelona make up the top three.

The Spaniard has an incredible 95 per cent rate of successful passes, while have a level of matches adjudged to be at 0.94.Meanwhile Lundstram sits at number 90 in the rankings with a 90.2 per cent success rate, and an average of 71 passes per game, higher than that of former Liverpool man Fabinho at Al-Ittihad who is well ahead in the table.
