Jay Slater's devastated family are being supported by a charity after a body was discovered in a search for the teenager in Tenerife.
Spanish Police said the grim discovery was made on the island this morning (July 15) - exactly four weeks after the 19-year-old, from Lancashire, disappeared after a night out.
The remains were found in the Masca area on the north of Tenerife, which is where Jay's phone last pinged before it died. Although formal identification of the body has not yet taken place, the Civil Guard said 'all evidence suggests' the remains are those of the teenager.
Police added that they believe he could have 'suffered an accident or a fall in the area where he was found'. Follow live updates in our blog HERE In the wake of the discovery, British overseas missing persons charity LBT Global has issued a statement.
